I was so inspired by the aesthetic in this book that I decided to make a wedding cake for Vad and Corvina’s wedding. This is what I picture Werenmore Wedding to look like.Trope: gothic romance, mystery, dark academiaHEA: YesCliffhanger: NoPOV: 3rd person dualBook Score: 5+Book Review______________This book! This world! Ahhhhhh it’s everything I didn’t know I would like, and turned into everything I need. The whole vibe of the book was just so intriguing and unique, I was so drawn to it. My whole head was just swimming with images. It really woke up my imagination. I’ve never read a gothic romance, so I honestly had no idea what it would be like. Few chapters in I found myself on Google looking to buy a crow, some tarot cards, raven mask, burgundy lace and a piano“Even your demons must sing.” And what do your demons do, little crow?” She looked away. “Scream.”The story has an eerie and mysterious feel, as was it’s hero Vad! The devil. He was cold, possessive. You could not tell if he is the good guy or a bad one for a lot of the story. Corvina was strong, secluded, and often lost in her head and thoughts. They worked so well together.I really loved the world the author built, and I honestly can’t believe it’s for a standalone book (kind of sad it is). The plot was well paced and interesting with a great twist. Can’t say much more not to spoil anything. The tension building up between Vad and Corvina was delicious. So were the rare heartfelt moments towards the end of the book.“If you need help, you tell me. If you need comfort, you tell me. Whatever it takes. I get to be the only madness inside you, you understand?”Great read and I highly recommend it.
