Thought I was buying a book about the aircraft but this book is about the presidents who rode in the aircraft. Air Force One is only a backdrop to this book as the author details the personalities and actions of the presidents who used the plane. Very little information about the plane itself. Interesting stories, maybe, but not "A History of... Their Planes" as the title suggests. The chapters covers presidents up to George W. Bush and that chapter devolves into a fanboy presentation of W that gushes with over the top praise. So much so that I didn't even finish the chapter.If you're looking for an interesting book about Air Force One, skip this one. If you're looking for a book about all the presidents and their personalities (up until W.) who coincidentally boarded Air Force One, this book will do.
